The Freightliner Sprinter Van is a line of four vans made by Mercedes-Benz in North Carolina, but first produced in 1995 in Europe. There are four models: Cargo Van, Crew Van, Cab Chassis, and Passenger Van. For years, it was produced under two brand names, Frieightliner and Mercedes, both part of Mercedes-Benz company, and both alike except for the name on the outside. It was finally decided to drop the Freightliner name and call them all Mercedes. One of the big users of the Sprinter Van is Amazon which ordered 20,000 vehicles for its delivery service.
They weigh between 5,000 and 7,500 pounds, are between 20 and 24 feet long, 6 ½ feet wide and between 8 and 9 feet tall depending on the model.
